Drain Sheets

Our Drain Sheet Mats are engineered surface drainage and erosion control systems designed to stabilise soil and regulate water movement on embankments and exposed slopes.

Developed for use in demanding ground conditions, the system combines a flexible drainage layer with filtration, soil-binding and vegetation support components. This integrated structure enables rapid removal of excess water, improves soil cohesion and supports vegetation establishment, reducing the risk of surface erosion and washout.

How It Works

SALIKE Drain Sheet Mats operate through a multi-layer system:

Nonwoven layers allow rapid drainage of excess water
Flocculants bind soil particles, preventing muddy runoff
Surface structure reduces water flow velocity
Integrated seed and fertiliser support vegetation growth

Installation Guide

Prepare the slope or embankment by removing debris, vegetation and loose material, and grade to a smooth, even surface.
Lay the drain sheet from the top of the slope downward, ensuring correct alignment and positioning.
Overlap adjacent mats sufficiently to maintain continuous surface coverage and prevent water ingress.
Secure the drain sheet using steel pins at regular intervals across edges, overlaps and the main surface.
Ensure full contact between the mat and soil surface, avoiding air gaps or lifting.
Allow the integrated seed system to establish vegetation, providing long-term surface stabilisation.
