Project Background

Our client, a local authority required a sustainable marginal stabilisation solution capable of supporting native wetland planting whilst reinforcing a watercourse’s edge. The scheme formed part of a broader environmental improvement initiative focused on biodiversity enhancement, habitat creation and long-term bank integrity. Due to the sensitivity of the environment the local authority wanted to avoid using synthetic materials.

Solution

We specified our Pre-Grown Coir Logs to provide immediate vegetative cover, as their pre-grown format ensures strong root mass development prior to deployment and accelerates ecological function without a reliance on synthetic materials.
